Location, Hours and Access

  • Location: Shiekh Rashid Terminal (Concourse 1) departure level between gate 19 and 21

  • Access: Emirates business class passengers, Skywards gold and silver members + one guest (at the moment skywards members travelling in economy have to use the DCA Business Class lounge (beside Gate 8).


General Impression

  • Superb lounge with water-feature fountains and greenery over two levels, with more than 400 leather seats - but still crowded during peak times (23:00 - 02:00 and 6:00 - 8:00).
  • Full height panoramic windows overlooking part of the busy airport.


Food and Beverages

  • Complementary food and drinks 24 hours a day. Great selection to choose from: snacks, sandwiches, natural food, fruits, cakes, soups, baked potatoes, Sushi, Peking-Duck and hot meals. Very good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks - even champaign!


Showers and Spa

  • Toilets and showers (with Molten Brown toiletries) are located inside the lounge, but the facilities are too small, always crowded and somtimes dirty.

Entertainment and Business-facilities

  • Business area with work stations, but internet connection often impossible. The lounge is equipped with free wireless networking to allow passengers with wireless equipment to connect to the web and print. There are TV viewing areas showing world channels on large plasma screens and multiple information screens displaying departure times.

International range of newspapers and magazines.


Special facilities and services

  • Four guest bedrooms where you can sleep for long connections (first come, first serve - always occupied).

Designated smoking and non-smoking areas. There is a Skywards desk in the lounge for access into your frequent flyer account.

Visitor Comments

Good size. Food and beverages also good. Alcohol available. Shower facilities are ugly...stinks of cigarette smoke and tiny...no sink, no toilet, no toiletries...old shower stall, tile was gross. Towel provided was also brown and appeared well-used.
